I would have liked to be a painter

From my earliest childhood I always sketched and colored. During my professional life I did not have much free time but I painted once in a while and produced one or two paintings per year.
I then slowly ceased any professional activity and since 1995 started to paint seriously up to the point that it is today my principal and intense activity .
I mostly paint portraits and urban landscapes (Siena, New York), Still lifes with a few occasional other subjects.

The Star Spangled Banner is a fascinating subject for metaphoric interpretations.

I recently started to make 'collage' and 'assemblage' with computer and electronic pieces on flat panels and created or existing objects.

 

I apologise for the mediocre current photographic quality of some paintings presented here.
I am working on improving them.
