The idea



First paper sketch 16 x 24

I was on the balcon of my club in the center of the Piazza del Campo. The night was splendidly clar and the sky cloudless. I decided to paint the Campo at night.
The next day I started sketching. The key of the geometry was to also show the Duomo (cathedral) on top of the roofs above the piazza. This could not be seen from where I was but since I know it is there in my mind, it could also be on my painting. Another exercise in the 'Geometry of Space-Time'.

Spent lots of time looking at intermediate steps before proceeding - as usual.
