Since
last October, even though I decided that the "Multimedia"
piece was completed, something had remained unsatisfactory to me.
The panel on writing, touch and smell, as shown here left, did not
really satisfy me. The idea of 'touch' (so important as a current
weakness of electronic multimedia) was acceptably represented by
the hand and fingerprints - but what about smell?
Some
image or symbol of smell had to be found and added. What?
For the last 2 months I turned the problem around my head. As often
serendipity came to help. Yesterday, fumbling into my briefcase
I noticed a tiny sample bottle of perfume 'Hermès - Equipage'.
Eureka! That was the idea.
Put
a few of those perfume sample bottles standing next to the 'smell'
word. I could construct a tiny shelf to hold them in place.
