The next step was the Grant Wood image which progressed as shown and for the which the self-inflicted interdiction to use brushes was a real challenge but gave the expected result of roughness.

I proceeded with the can of Andy Warhol for which I used small brushes for the lettering. The can appears as thrown in a garbage dump (a reference to industrial pollution).

I later added the medal looking gold and black disk which is only meaningful for ex Control Data Corporation employees and friends since it is the image of its first and original logo which I represented sinking into the ground as the corporation is now defunct.
